This blog post is a continuation of a previous one about a project I worked on called “ac bracket installation.” In this project, we were installing ac brackets into the tops of metal studs that had been poured into concrete, and the process of doing so was quite messy.
The last thing you’ll want to do to any metal stud is drill a hole into the concrete and then put a screw through the hole into the stud, but we all have too many of those in our apartment to do it by hand. So that’s what we decided to do.
We drilled a series of holes into the concrete before we screwed each bracket into each stud. The metal studs were put into the concrete, and we used a drillbit to drill through the holes. Then we screwed each bracket into the studs. As you can see in the video above, after the first few brackets had been screwed into the studs, something went awry and the screws broke off of the studs.
After figuring this out, we just continued drilling holes in the concrete and then using a drillbit to drill through the holes. We had thought that this would be easy and it was, but we had to spend a lot more time on this than we thought we would. As you can imagine, it is a tedious process.
We had thought this was going to be a quick and easy project, but in the end, there are at least a dozen of these to do, and we were still working on them when we finished the project. The hardest part was trying to find a way to keep the studs in the wall and not push them out of the wall.
In order to create a nice and sturdy bracket, you need a drill. The hardest part was finding a drill that was compatible with the holes. We went with an old drill that we had lying around and we used that, but it was not the best drill for the job. It was not the largest hole we could drill.
There was a stud-drill that was the right size for the job, but it was too large for the holes, so we had to make do with a drill that was too small. Again, this is a drill that was a little bit too big, and it was not the perfect drill for the job.
We’re actually having a moment here because of the new Deathloop trailer. The game takes place on a party island, where the party is hosted by an amnesiac named Colt Vahn. Colt was basically the head of security for the Visionaries, and he was the one who locked the island into repeating day so he could come up with his own plot of revenge.
While the drill was fine, the only thing that was actually needed was a screwdriver. Unfortunately there was no screwdriver on hand, so we had to use a pair of pliers to remove this bolt. It was a little tricky because the bolt had some pretty big threads, and it wasn’t long enough to reach through the hole. After a few tries, we managed to remove it. The bolt was surprisingly well-made.
We were also glad that the screw was attached to the bolts rather than the bolts themselves. This way the removal of the bolt is actually a lot more easy than it would be if the bolt was just attached to the bolts themselves.
