I’ve always been a guy that likes to dress to impress. From my early 20s to now, I’ve always wanted to look polished and put together. One of my first style statements was this outfit. It was a simple, but cute, navy blue dress. I knew it was going to be a great look, so I didn’t hesitate to wear it to everything from school to work.
Then there was this year. I was going to be a senior in high school, and i was so excited that my favorite color was purple. When I went to buy the outfit for my birthday, I realized that I had no clue what purple meant or what purple should look like.
Not to sound mean, but those days are gone. A whole new era, a new language. It’s the era of ‘purple’ and ‘crappy outfits’, so I am not surprised or shocked that “disruptia” is the latest word to pop up in the English dictionary. What is shocking is that I had not heard of it until I saw “disruptia” listed on Wikipedia.
And just like that, I was suddenly a purple-loving person. I don’t even know where my purple came from, but it somehow happened.
And that is good because we’ve come to expect that new word being used in new ways. With new words comes new meanings. Purple is actually a color associated with death, so maybe it’s time to start using it in a different way.
So what do you get when you combine “purple” with “death”? Purple/Death combo. I was not at all startled to see a purple outfit in that trailer, but I am very happy. Purple is a color you use to die. The only other color that comes close in death is white, but no one uses that color. That is why I had been thinking about a purple-death combo.
The word “purple”, when applied to death, is a very depressing color, so it makes sense that someone would want to use it in a manner that would make it more interesting and entertaining. I have always thought that if you applied a bit of purple to death, the result would be more interesting than a more typical death – a purple death combo. It adds a little something to the whole thing.
In other news, we’re in a major rush to get our prototype Deathloop shirts ready for release, which means we’re doing our best to get the word out now. We’re also trying to make sure that as soon as possible we get them in the hands of as many people as possible – especially anyone who would like to buy one for themselves.
A few weeks ago we had a talk with the publisher of the game Reddit about the possibility of selling the game. The game’s developers, who didn’t want to have too much of an impact on the game, had asked the publisher to explain that we would be making a game of death-list style clothing, which is pretty much the only thing they actually wanted to do in the world of Deathloop.
You might want to use the same fashion sense as in the game, but what about your clothes? What is your favorite color? What are your favorite images? What do you like to wear? Is the outfit any good? If you like them, give them to the people who are actually wearing them. I think there are more creative ideas that you could take to the game, or at least show them to the people who are wearing them.
