In our case, we actually used the page to get people to our website. But because we had a pop up that redirected to a new page, we actually got people to our website by just visiting the website itself. It would be a shame if this page was blocked because it was blocked by Google, but since we have a pop up that redirects to a new page, we were able to get people to our website by just visiting the page.

I have to admit I thought we would have seen some kind of pop-up blocking, but it doesn’t seem to be the case. People who visit our homepage after a pop-up redirect can still see the page, and as long as they’re not blocked by anything else, then our pop-up shouldn’t be blocked.
This is pretty bad actually. pop-ups block the only way people can see you, by redirecting to another site. So if a link takes you to our website and then you visit our website, then the pop-up should prevent you from seeing the new page, because you would still be seeing the old page. This is especially frustrating because I was in the process of getting an account for my business before I was blocked by pop-up blocking.

However, if your browser keeps the URL you have visited, you will be forced to visit the page again, which is annoying at best, and probably annoying enough to force you to visit the site a third time, which is also annoying, and probably annoying enough to force you to visit the website a fourth time, and so on.
If that’s the case, you probably already know how to change your visit history. Or if you don’t, that’s okay too. A site’s default behavior may not necessarily be what you want it to be, so just be aware of what that default is and try to get it to be more in line with your desires.
